Past week, I went to Holland with my family for a relaxed, calm weekend. We booked a room at Hotel Amadore De Kamperduinen in Kamperland, a small city in Holland. We were really happy with our hotel and we would go back there immediately. We arrived in the hotel on friday night and we all were so tired and we were really looking forward to this weekend. When we arrived, we checked in and went to the hotel’s restaurant and had a lovely, cosy dinner. On saturday, we took the time to enjoy the hotel facilities like the spa, the swiming pool, the fitness, … In the afternoon, we decided to take a long, nice walk along the beach since the hotel is located right next to the North Sea. We walked along the beach for more than three hours without stopping, just because it felt so good. The salty air, the wind in our hair, the most beautiful sights, … Until we passed by this cute, little beachhouse called Aquarius Beach. It looked so good that we immediately decided to stop and go have a drink. We walked up the stairs and entered the bar, but we didn’t expect it to be so pretty on the inside. This beachhouse was totally renovated with white walls, wooden floors and furniture and some cute plants. This place was truly perfect and, oh yes, so instagram worthy!
We were welcomed by a very sweet, Dutch woman. She looked so happy and so zen, a smile appeared on my face the moment I saw her. She told us about her concept, that she only served alcohol-free drinks, had no electricity and only used bio products. My parents and the rest of my family, real Belgians as they are, found it a bit strange that she didn’t serve alcohol, but I just loved this concept. She served tea, coffee and hot chocolate that she made herself with bio products, but also some fruit juices perfect for hot summer days. My parents ordered a mint tea but I didn’t want to be a basic bitch and order just a mint tea, so I chose a rooibos tea which was the best I ever had! She also had a home made apple pie, and ofcourse… I couldn’t resist eating a piece. Don’t blame me, it just looked so tasty!
There was this cute, little place on the windowsill, covered with a sheepskin rug from where you had the best view ever. I really loved sitting there, like I could stay there for the rest of my life just reading books, drinking tea and looking outside to the sea. I wouldn’t want anything more.
What do you think about this hotspot I found? Would you like to go there sometime too? I would go there any time, so take me back please!
